The Kitchen Sink is more than a restaurant. It’s a dining experience that is second to none. The atmosphere of the space is one of safety, unity, love, care, comfort and whimsy that can and is enjoyed by a myriad of people and personalities. The food takes you on a journey of what I imagine it would be like if elevated southern cuisine had a beautiful marriage to rustic Italian food culture. It dances upon the pallet with great depth of flavor that’s rich and hearty without leaving you feeling heavy, but rather, humbly content. The attention to detail and friendliness by the entire staff is welcoming and pleasant. I recommend anyone in the greater Wilmington area take the time to visit and enjoy the food, the family atmosphere and the fellowship among so many awesome people. You won’t be disappointed!

So glad I found this little spot when I did. Not only is it close to campus, the food is amazing and the staff is INCREDIBLY nice and helpful. I actually had walked over to treat myself to lunch after blowing my tire on a curb and waiting for a tow, and one of the staff members recommended a tire shop (Oleander Used Tire & Auto) and saved me probably hundreds of dollars. Turned my bad day around, and I had a delicious lunch while I waited for my tire repair. Can’t wait to be back – thank you for the amazing advice / service!

I’ve been to the TKS five times within last three months and every time it’s been a great experience. Great downtown vibe, warm hospitality, very friendly & customer service oriented owner and the food is the best part. Well thought out, always fresh and delicious. Unique food offerings/weekly specials that you can’t find just anywhere. I invite anyone to try The Kitchen Sink, you will not be disappointed.

We had the best meal I’ve had in a long while! The sandwiches are awesome and the soup flights are scrumptious. I have to say my favorite sandwich is the meatball sub, they make their own meatballs from scratch in house. The BEST!!!

We love The Kitchen Sink! My wife and I had a great lunch, everything came out perfect and we can’t wait to go back. We’d tried the Nonna’s Meatball and the Muffaletta sandwiches which were delicious. Love the idea on changing their soups weekly, keeping an interesting menu weekly. We recommend The Kitchen Sink to anyone, one of the best restaurants in Wilmington!

The Kitchen Sink is one of Wilmington’s most unique restaurants! Alicia has come up with some of the BEST and tastiest recipes on the restaurant’s menu. The atmosphere of TKS is also so inviting and relaxing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to try something new!

Absolutely fantastic experience! Atmosphere is next level and the food is to die for! The beef on weck is amazing and the soup flights are a perfect lunch portion and are all jam packed with flavor! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

tried the B.A.D. Hot Chicken and it is the perfect balance of spice and flavor. The Sweet and Savory is also a delicious blend of flavor. I love their use of locally sourced greens, sauces and other items. I also appreciate that the owners use their influence and resources to serve and support the community. They hire intentionally and serve their community in their spare time. Worth it for just the delicious food to pay a visit, keep going back because they are just great people and an awesome local business to support.

The warm, welcoming energy as you walk in hits you in tandem with the delightful smells from the bustling, open kitchen. Making the choice of one delightfully crafted soup is nearly always impossible because the current favorite stands beside a list of potential new favorites with rotating and surprising options every time I go. Thank goodness they offer a soup sampler so I don’t need to panic as it becomes my turn to order. Oh….but wait…now I get to choose which amazing sandwich!?! And a thoughtfully made side. Guess we’re having another smorgasbord today and that’s perfect in my eyes. Tbh, I can’t choose wrong because every bite I’ve had here is just so right. I’ll have one of everything please.
